Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets are priced by traders themselves through continuous buying and selling. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, depending on trader positioning and information flow. Comparing the two can reveal where public or professional opinion differs, though both aim to forecast the same underlying event outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Participants purchase shares representing their chosen outcome, and the price of each share adjusts continuously based on supply and demand. The current market price reflects the aggregate belief of all traders participating in this venue. Higher prices indicate stronger collective conviction in that outcome, while lower prices suggest lower perceived probability.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official final score and result recorded at the end of the match's second half. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Resolution timing depends on when the match completes and the result is confirmed through standard sports reporting channels.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before resolution. Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—often triggers repricing as traders reassess competitive balance. Recent form, head-to-head history, and tactical adjustments announced before kickoff can all influence sentiment. During the first half, actual play and early momentum may prompt traders to adjust their second-half forecasts. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and late-breaking developments can also move prices as new information reaches the market.
