This event group covers a single KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) regular season game between Samsung Lions and Kiwoom Heroes scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 5:30 AM EDT. Both Polymarket and Kalshi have created markets to predict the outcome of this matchup.
This is a market on the KBO baseball game between Samsung Lions and Kiwoom Heroes, scheduled for July 23 at 5:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "Samsung Lions" if the Samsung Lions win the game. This market will resolve to "Kiwoom Heroes" if the Kiwoom Heroes win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the KBO. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution is based on the final result of the Samsung Lions vs Kiwoom Heroes Korea KBO game originally scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 5:30 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, markets remain open and close after the rescheduled game concludes within two days. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days, markets resolve to a fair price per official rules. Tied games resolve to 50/50.
Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price the same event differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, often incorporating a built-in margin. Prediction markets, by contrast, are peer-to-peer exchanges where traders themselves set prices based on their beliefs about the outcome. This can lead to sharper, more efficient pricing in prediction markets, especially when informed traders are active. However, sportsbooks may have faster access to injury reports or late-breaking news. Comparing both sources helps you identify value and refine your edge.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and risk appetites, which naturally creates pricing gaps. Polymarket and Kalshi may also have different fee structures, user interfaces, or promotional incentives that influence how actively traders engage with this market. Additionally, the timing of large trades or the arrival of new information can cause one venue to move faster than the other. These differences typically narrow as arbitrageurs exploit the spread, but they persist because traders on each platform have distinct beliefs or access to different signals. Monitoring both helps you capture fleeting opportunities.
Key catalysts include injury announcements affecting either team's roster, lineup changes, or managerial decisions that shift perceived win probability. Recent form and head-to-head records can influence trader sentiment, especially if one team enters on a hot streak. Weather conditions at game time—wind, temperature, and humidity—matter significantly in baseball and may prompt late repricing. Line-up confirmations and bullpen availability often trigger volatility in the final hours before first pitch. Breaking news about player suspensions, trades, or unexpected roster moves can also swing odds sharply. Monitor official KBO communications and team social media for real-time updates.
