This event group covers a single KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) regular season game between the Lotte Giants and KT Wiz scheduled for July 5, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. Both Polymarket and Kalshi have created prediction markets on the outcome of this game, with resolution tied to the official winner.
This is a market on the KBO baseball game between Lotte Giants and KT Wiz, scheduled for July 5 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Lotte Giants" if the Lotte Giants win the game. This market will resolve to "KT Wiz" if the KT Wiz win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the KBO. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution is based on the final result of the game scheduled for July 5, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, markets remain open and close after the rescheduled game concludes within two days. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days, markets resolve to a fair price per rules. Tied games resolve to 50/50.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker, while Kalshi uses an order-book model, creating structural differences in how liquidity and price discovery work. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform also attracts slightly different trader demographics and risk tolerances, leading to variations in how they weight the same underlying information. Regulatory frameworks, fee structures, and contract specifications can further push prices apart, making cross-platform comparison a useful arbitrage signal for attentive traders.
Key roster updates—injuries, roster moves, or player suspensions—typically trigger sharp price moves in this market. Recent team performance, head-to-head records, and momentum shifts in the KBO season will influence trader positioning. Weather conditions, home-field advantage, and lineup announcements closer to game day often spark late volatility. Major betting syndicates entering or exiting positions can also shift prices significantly, so monitoring volume spikes and large trades is essential for timing your entry or exit.
