This event group covers two distinct prediction markets on the same KBO (Korean Baseball Organization) game between Lotte Giants and Doosan Bears scheduled for July 1, 2026 at 5:30 AM EDT. Kalshi offers four over/under markets on combined team scoring (5.5, 7.5, 9.5, and 11.5 runs), while Polymarket offers a head-to-head winner prediction market.
This is a market on the KBO baseball game between Lotte Giants and Doosan Bears, scheduled for July 1 at 5:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "Lotte Giants" if the Lotte Giants win the game. This market will resolve to "Doosan Bears" if the Doosan Bears win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the KBO. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution depends on the total runs scored by both Lotte Giants and Doosan Bears combined in their scheduled July 1, 2026 game at 5:30 AM EDT. The event contains four separate markets, each with a different run threshold: 5.5, 7.5, 9.5, and 11.5 runs. Each market resolves to Yes if the combined total exceeds its respective threshold, and to No otherwise. Official scoring follows standard baseball rules as recorded at game conclusion.
Polymarket and Kalshi may price this matchup differently due to variations in contract design, user base composition, and liquidity depth. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, Polymarket's binary outcome structure attracts directional bettors, while Kalshi's run-total contracts appeal to bettors seeking granular exposure. Fee structures, withdrawal policies, and geographic trader distribution also influence price discovery. Monitoring both platforms reveals which market is repricing faster to breaking news, helping you time entries and exits more effectively.
Key catalysts include roster changes, injury announcements to star players, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Weather conditions at game time—wind direction and temperature affect ball flight in baseball—can shift run-total expectations significantly. Lineup announcements and bullpen availability often trigger sharp repricing in the final hours before first pitch. Additionally, betting syndicate activity and sudden volume spikes on either platform may signal informed positioning, prompting other traders to adjust their positions accordingly.
