PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution logic maps both possible game outcomes (Tigers win and Landers win) to the same resolution value (Yes), creating a logically unresolvable market. Polymarket uses a standard binary structure with clear outcome mapping.Hero tip: Avoid trading Kalshi until the platform corrects the resolution criteria. The market as currently written cannot be settled fairly. Polymarket's market is logically sound and can be traded with confidence.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Standard binary market with clear outcome mapping: Tigers win resolves to 'Kia Tigers', Landers win resolves to 'SSG Landers'. Tie, cancellation, or no make-up resolves 50-50. Resolution source: Official KBO information or credible reporting consensus.
  • Kalshi: Yes/No market with contradictory resolution logic: both 'Kia Tigers wins' and 'SSG Landers wins' are stated to resolve to Yes, with no defined path to No resolution. This creates a logical impossibility.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they serve distinct purposes. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Prediction market prices often reflect sharper, less biased estimates because traders risk real capital on accuracy rather than chasing volume. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value or where information gaps exist.

Key catalysts include injury announcements, lineup changes, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical matchups. Weather conditions and home-field advantage can also shift trader sentiment. Breaking news about player availability or coaching decisions often triggers sharp price moves as informed traders react first. Betting action from sportsbooks and other prediction platforms may signal where professional bettors are leaning. Monitoring KBO news feeds and team social media in the days leading up to game time will help you anticipate significant repricing on this market.
