This event group covers two distinct prediction markets on the same KBO baseball game between Kia Tigers and Hanwha Eagles scheduled for June 11, 2026 at 5:30 AM EDT. Kalshi offers four over/under markets on combined team scoring (7.5, 5.5, 9.5, and 11.5 runs), while Polymarket offers a head-to-head winner market (Kia Tigers vs. Hanwha Eagles) with tie/cancellation provisions.
This is a market on the KBO baseball game between Kia Tigers and Hanwha Eagles, scheduled for June 11 at 5:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "Kia Tigers" if the Kia Tigers win the game. This market will resolve to "Hanwha Eagles" if the Hanwha Eagles win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the KBO. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Each market independently resolves based on the combined total runs scored by both teams. A market resolves to Yes if the combined total exceeds the specified threshold (5.5, 7.5, 9.5, or 11.5 runs). Each threshold operates as a separate market with its own resolution criteria based on the final official game score.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket and Kalshi may price the Tigers-Eagles matchup differently due to variations in user base, liquidity depth, and contract design. Polymarket focuses on match outcomes, while Kalshi emphasizes run-total derivatives, attracting traders with different risk profiles and information sets. Regulatory constraints, fee structures, and geographic trader concentration also influence how quickly each platform incorporates new data. Temporary price gaps between platforms create opportunities for arbitrage traders to profit by backing the same outcome across both venues, eventually narrowing the spread.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, injury updates to star pitchers or hitters, recent team form and win-loss streaks, and head-to-head historical performance. Weather conditions at the stadium on game day—wind speed, temperature, and humidity—significantly affect run totals and play style. Lineup changes, bullpen availability, and managerial decisions released hours before first pitch can shift market odds sharply. Breaking news about player suspensions, trades, or unexpected absences will trigger immediate repricing across both Polymarket and Kalshi. Trading volume typically spikes in the final hours as late-arriving information crystallizes consensus.
