PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution criteria contains a logical contradiction: it specifies the market resolves to Yes if either team wins, which is tautological and leaves no valid resolution state for No. This makes the market fundamentally unresolvable as specified.Hero tip: Do not trade on Kalshi until the platform clarifies whether Yes should be limited to Doosan Bears only (mirroring Polymarket). Polymarket's binary structure (Doosan Bears vs NC Dinos) with explicit tie/cancellation handling is the only logically sound market in this group.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary outcome market with two explicit resolution paths: resolves to Doosan Bears if they win, or NC Dinos if they win. Tie, cancellation, or no makeup game triggers 50-50 split. Primary source is official KBO information with consensus reporting as backup.
  • Kalshi: Market resolves to Yes if Doosan Bears wins the game originally scheduled for Jul 17, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. Also states market resolves to Yes if NC Dinos wins. This creates a logical impossibility where both outcomes map to Yes, leaving no valid No resolution state.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they serve different purposes. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect pure trader belief—there is no house edge or vig. On prediction markets, the odds you see are determined by supply and demand among traders themselves, making them often more efficient at capturing real-time information. Many traders use sportsbook lines as a reference point but find prediction market prices offer a cleaner signal of actual probability, especially for niche or fast-moving events like this matchup.

Key injury announcements, roster changes, or lineup confirmations can shift trader sentiment significantly. Recent team form, head-to-head records, and weather conditions on game day are also closely watched. Late-breaking news about player availability or coaching decisions often triggers sharp price moves in the hours before first pitch. Live game developments—early runs, momentum swings, or unexpected substitutions—will drive continuous repricing as the match unfolds. Monitoring team social media, KBO press releases, and sports news will help you stay ahead of market-moving information.
