PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's resolution criteria contain a logical contradiction: both possible game outcomes (Doosan Bears win or Kiwoom Heroes win) are mapped to Yes, leaving no valid No resolution path. This makes the market unresolvable as stated.Hero tip: Treat Kalshi as unresolvable until platform clarification. The Yes/No mapping must be corrected to match standard moneyline logic (e.g., Yes = Doosan Bears win, No = Kiwoom Heroes win). Trade only on Polymarket until Kalshi documentation is verified.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Categorical resolution to winning team name. Resolves to Doosan Bears if they win, Kiwoom Heroes if they win, or 50-50 split if postponed/canceled/tied. Source: Official KBO or credible consensus. This is standard and resolvable.
  • Kalshi: Binary Yes/No structure, but both game outcomes map to Yes: 'If Doosan Bears wins...resolves to Yes' AND 'If Kiwoom Heroes wins...resolves to Yes.' No valid No condition is defined. This is logically impossible for a binary market.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes through different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets rely on peer-to-peer trading where participants directly set odds based on their beliefs. This market's pricing reflects what traders collectively think will happen, unfiltered by bookmaker margins. Prediction market odds often move faster than sportsbooks in response to breaking news or injury reports, making them a useful benchmark for comparing consensus probability against traditional betting lines. Both sources inform sharp bettors, but each operates under distinct incentive structures.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, all of which influence price discovery. Polymarket and Kalshi may also enforce different rules around market hours, leverage, or settlement timing. Regulatory environments and platform-specific incentives can cause temporary divergence; arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but friction costs and timing lags mean prices don't always converge instantly. Monitoring both venues helps identify when one platform is pricing this market more efficiently than the other, signaling potential trading opportunities.

Key catalysts include roster updates, injury announcements, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical records. Weather conditions on game day, home-field advantage, and momentum shifts in the KBO season can all influence trader positioning. Major lineup changes or managerial decisions announced shortly before the match often trigger sharp repricing. Media coverage and expert commentary may also sway sentiment, particularly if respected analysts highlight overlooked matchup dynamics. Traders should track official team communications, injury reports, and KBO standings to anticipate moves in this market.
