Prices on Polymarket and Kalshi can diverge due to several factors. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform has a different user base with varying levels of expertise and access to information about the KBO. Trading volume also plays a role; lower volume on one platform can lead to greater price fluctuations. Furthermore, the platforms may have slightly different fee structures or trading mechanisms, influencing how traders behave. These factors contribute to the observed price discrepancies, even though both platforms are ultimately tracking the same underlying event – the outcome of the Doosan Bears versus Hanwha Eagles game.
