Katie Boulter and Tyra Caterina Grant compete in the first set of their 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 match on June 30. The market determines which player wins that specific set.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 1 of the professional tennis match between Katie Boulter and Tyra Caterina Grant in the 2026 Wimbledon Women Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show tighter or wider odds than traditional sportsbooks, depending on how much informed trading activity has occurred. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus is shifting ahead of the match.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers in real time. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction executed—and moves dynamically as new orders arrive. Traders can enter limit orders to bet on either outcome at their chosen probability level, and the market price converges toward the true probability as more capital flows in. Liquidity and order depth determine how easily you can enter or exit a position at a given price.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the first set of the Boulter vs Grant match concludes. The outcome is determined by verifying the official set winner against credible public sources, such as the ATP or WTA tour records and major sports news outlets. Once the result is confirmed and the resolution window closes, the market settles and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome. Traders should monitor the match schedule to ensure they are aware of the exact timing.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the match begins. Player injury announcements, recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and court surface preference all influence trader positioning. Weather conditions on match day and any last-minute lineup changes can trigger sharp moves. Additionally, if one player is favored in early trading, contrarian bets from informed traders may push the price in the opposite direction. Monitoring pre-match news and social sentiment can help you anticipate volatility and identify trading opportunities.
