This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 32 match between Karen Khachanov and Flavio Cobolli on July 4. The winner of set 3 will determine the corresponding market resolution.
The market resolves to Yes if either Karen Khachanov or Flavio Cobolli wins set 3 of their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 32 match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by real-time trader activity and collective belief. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing the two can reveal valuable discrepancies, especially as match day approaches and new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective confidence in that outcome, ranging from near-zero to near-one dollar. As new information surfaces—such as player form, court conditions, or head-to-head history—traders adjust their positions, and prices move accordingly. This dynamic pricing ensures the market stays responsive to real-world developments leading up to the match.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the third set of the Khachanov vs Cobolli match concludes. The outcome is determined by verifying which player wins that set against credible public reporting of the match result. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution is final once the result is confirmed from authoritative sports data sources, ensuring all participants have clarity on the settlement.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and current ranking momentum all influence trader sentiment. Court surface preference—clay, hard court, or grass—plays a role in set outcomes. Injury reports or player fatigue from earlier rounds can trigger sharp repricing. Weather conditions on match day and first-set results will likely spark significant trading activity. Media commentary, betting syndicates, and professional analyst predictions may also prompt position adjustments as traders react to new information and reassess their edge.
