This set of markets tracks various thresholds of points scored by both Kansas State and Cincinnati during the first half of their college football game. Each threshold represents a different level of scoring performance, allowing participants to speculate on how high-scoring the first half will be.
The markets resolve based on whether the combined points scored by Kansas State and Cincinnati in the first half of their college football game exceed specified thresholds. Only points scored during the first half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a small team of experts, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. It's common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially react to news, this market can quickly incorporate a broader range of opinions, leading to potentially more accurate predictions as the event approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a particular outcome occurring – in this case, the first half total being over or under the specified line. As more people buy contracts predicting one outcome, the price increases, while selling pressure decreases the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, constantly adjusting as new information and opinions are factored in.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final first half total score of the Kansas State vs Cincinnati game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics reported by a recognized sports data provider. The market will settle to 100 if the first half total is over the line, and to 0 if it is under. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout based on the final price of their contracts.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Kansas State or Cincinnati teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Late-breaking news about team strategies or starting lineups could also cause price fluctuations. Finally, even general shifts in public sentiment or large-volume trades on Kalshi can contribute to price movement as the game approaches.
