This market focuses on determining which team will score more runs in the first inning of an upcoming baseball game. It captures the early momentum and offensive performance of each team within the initial phase of play. The outcome depends solely on the runs scored during that specific inning, without considering the rest of the game.
The market resolves based on the number of runs each team scores specifically during the first inning of the designated baseball game. If Kansas City scores more runs than Houston in the first inning, the 'Kansas City wins 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if Houston scores more runs than Kansas City in that inning, the 'Houston wins 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. Should neither team score more runs than the other—meaning the inning ends in a tie—the 'Tie 1st inning' market resolves to Yes. If the game is called or otherwise ends before the first inning is fully completed, all markets resolve to a Fair Price. Only runs scored within the first inning are considered for resolution, and Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league.
