The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Resolution is based on the combined runs scored by both teams through the completion of the fifth inning of the Kansas City vs Washington game originally scheduled for June 16, 2026 at 6:45 PM EDT. Each market outcome corresponds to a specific run threshold (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, or 6.5 runs), and resolves to Yes if the combined total exceeds that threshold. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game concludes within two days.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform uses distinct contract designs: Polymarket may frame the outcome as a binary yes/no on a specific scenario, while Kalshi structures it around run totals or head-to-head matchups. User demographics, liquidity depth, and fee structures also vary between platforms, causing traders to price the same underlying event differently. Additionally, one platform may attract sharper bettors in baseball markets, or have lower trading costs that encourage tighter spreads. Monitoring both helps you identify arbitrage opportunities and understand which platform's pricing aligns with your own view.
Lineup announcements, starting pitcher changes, and injury reports can shift odds significantly before first pitch. Weather conditions—wind speed and temperature—affect ball carry and scoring pace in the early innings. Bullpen depth and recent form of both teams' relievers matter, since the first five innings often feature starter transitions. Public betting action and sharp money flowing into one side can also trigger rapid repricing. Monitor team news, weather forecasts, and live order-book activity on both platforms to catch momentum shifts before the game starts.
