This event group covers an MLB game between the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets. Markets track both the game winner and a first-inning run-scoring prop, with listings across two prediction platforms showing a critical date mismatch that creates settlement ambiguity.
In the upcoming MLB game between the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets, scheduled for July 8 at 7:10PM ET: This market will resolve to "Kansas City Royals" if the Kansas City Royals win the game. This market will resolve to "New York Mets" if the New York Mets win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Polymarket and Predict can show different probabilities on the same event for several reasons. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, fee structures, and liquidity pools, so price discovery happens independently. Polymarket may emphasize one outcome while Predict reflects a different distribution of trader capital. Arbitrage opportunities between the two can persist if transaction costs or withdrawal friction prevent traders from instantly equalizing prices. Monitoring both simultaneously helps you spot mispricings and understand which platform's consensus is leading.
Several catalysts can shift prices before resolution. Roster changes, injury announcements, or lineup updates for either team will ripple through this market quickly. Weather conditions, ballpark factors, and recent team performance streaks influence trader positioning. Sportsbook line movements often precede prediction market repricing, so monitoring traditional odds can signal incoming shifts. Breaking news about player availability or managerial decisions in the hours before game time typically triggers sharp repricing. Real-time game action—early runs, momentum swings, or key plays—will drive final price discovery as kickoff approaches.
