On Polymarket and Predict, prices can diverge due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading behavior. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more casual traders, while the other draws professional participants, skewing probabilities. Additionally, each venue may have varying levels of volume, which influences how sensitive the odds are to new information or large trades.
Injuries, weather conditions, and pitcher rotations can all shift this market as the game nears. Key starters being ruled out or unexpected lineup changes often cause rapid probability swings. Traders will also watch for any last-minute news from Polymarket and Predict that could signal shifts in market sentiment, especially as betting volume spikes in the hours before first pitch.
