This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the professional tennis match between Kamil Majchrzak and Alejandro Tabilo at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 3 determines the market resolution.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 3 in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, particularly as new information emerges. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd's consensus differs from professional oddsmakers, though both sources offer valuable perspectives on the likely result.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability traders assign to that player winning the third set, with prices ranging from near zero to near one dollar. As new trades execute, prices update instantly, and you can enter or exit positions at the best available price on the book at any moment before resolution.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Majchrzak versus Tabilo match concludes and the third-set result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive the full payout, while shares in the losing outcome expire worthless. Early resolution is possible if the match is abandoned or the set is not played.
Market prices may shift based on player form leading up to the match, recent head-to-head records, court surface conditions, and any injury or fitness updates. Betting activity from informed traders can also signal shifting expectations. As the match progresses and the first two sets conclude, the third-set outcome becomes more predictable, typically driving sharper price movements. Real-time match statistics, momentum swings, and player fatigue during play are key factors that traders monitor to adjust their positions before this market settles.
