Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective judgment of traders with real money at stake. This market may show materially different implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, particularly if one venue has sharper or more active trading in second-half outcomes. Comparing both can reveal where consensus is strongest or where informed traders see value.
On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one possible outcome, and the current price reflects the collective assessment of all active traders. As match conditions change or new information surfaces, the price moves continuously, allowing participants to enter or exit positions throughout the trading window before resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the Kalmar FF versus Orgryte IS match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official final score recorded for the second half only, independent of first-half events. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, allowing traders to settle positions promptly.
Key catalysts include team news such as injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff, which can shift expectations for second-half performance. In-match developments—including first-half goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments—often trigger significant repricing as traders reassess momentum and fatigue heading into the second period. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form updates may also influence trading activity. Real-time score updates and substitution patterns during the first half typically generate the most volatile price swings.
