Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set initial odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to balance their risk. This market, however, allows individuals to express their own predictions, which can lead to odds that diverge from traditional sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges. Discrepancies can arise from differing opinions, access to unique data, or simply the collective intelligence of the prediction market participants. It's valuable to compare both to gain a broader perspective.
