Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this match, comparing the implied probability on Polymarket to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether professional oddsmakers and decentralized traders are aligned on the second half outcome, or where consensus may be fragmenting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the cumulative positions of all participants; as more traders buy shares backing one result, the price of that outcome rises and the opposing outcome falls. This continuous repricing ensures the market stays responsive to new information and trader conviction right up until the match concludes.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the second half result is final and verifiable from credible public sources covering the match. The outcome is determined by the actual scoreline and result during the second half period only; earlier first-half events do not factor into settlement. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the match ends, pending confirmation of the official result.
Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts announced before kickoff—can shift trader positioning significantly. Historical head-to-head records, recent form, and home-field advantage may also influence expectations for the second half. Live match developments, such as early goals, red cards, or momentum swings in the first half, often trigger repricing as traders reassess the likelihood of each outcome. Weather conditions and referee assignments can also play a subtle role in shaping trader sentiment.
