Prediction market odds on this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect a decentralized crowd-sourced assessment of probabilities rather than a set odds model. While sportsbooks may set a favored outcome based on analytics and risk management, prediction markets let traders bet directly on their beliefs, which can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing. The gap between the two can widen if new information emerges that shifts trader sentiment dramatically.
On Polymarket and Limitless, prices can diverge because each venue has its own user base, liquidity depth, and recent betting patterns. Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might see heavier action on a particular scoreline after a news update, pushing its implied probability higher. Differences in available markets or display formats can also steer trader behavior, meaning the same match yields slightly different price signals across sites. Monitoring both gives you a fuller picture of market sentiment.
