Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Anastasia Potapova compete in the second set of their 2026 Wimbledon Women's Singles Round of 128 match on June 29. The market resolves based on which player wins that second set.
This event covers the second set of the Jessica Bouzas Maneiro vs Anastasia Potapova professional tennis match in the 2026 Wimbledon Women Singles Round of 128. Resolution is determined by which player wins set 2. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets like this one derive prices directly from trader positions and real-money commitments. Traders betting on this market are incentivized to price the outcome accurately, since they profit or lose based on the actual result. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal whether one venue perceives a higher or lower probability than the other, offering insight into where informed money is flowing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The bid-ask spread reflects the current supply and demand for each player's outcome, and prices update in real time as new trades execute. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price efficiency. Traders can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the platform's matching engine ensures transparent price discovery based on actual participant interest.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the second set of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official tennis scoring rules. Until that time, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as new information emerges during the match. Resolution is final once the set winner is confirmed through standard tennis records and match documentation.
Several factors may shift odds on this market before resolution. Pre-match developments such as player injuries, recent form, head-to-head records, or court surface conditions can influence trader positioning. During the first set, momentum, break points, and serve performance may signal which player has the edge entering the second set. Real-time match statistics, such as first-serve percentage or unforced errors, often prompt rapid repricing. News of player fitness or tactical adjustments between sets can also trigger significant moves. Major upsets or dominant performances in the opening set typically reshape expectations for the second.
