Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Traders betting real money on this market may incorporate information faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines, or they may price in factors that bookmakers weight differently. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs, though sportsbook odds remain a useful reference point for understanding implied probabilities in the broader betting ecosystem.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling shares representing each possible outcome of the second half result. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current market reflects the collective assessment of all active traders, with prices moving as new information emerges or sentiment shifts. Higher prices indicate stronger trader confidence in that outcome occurring. Liquidity and trading volume influence how easily prices move, so periods of heavy trading can lead to sharper price adjustments than quieter periods.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the Jeju SK FC versus Daejeon Hana Citizen FC match concludes and the second half result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score or result recorded during the second half of play—whether one team scores more goals, or both teams end level. Resolution occurs after official confirmation, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Team news such as injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff can shift trader expectations significantly. Recent form, head-to-head records, and weather conditions on match day may also influence how traders price outcomes. In-game developments—early goals, red cards, or tactical adjustments during the first half—often trigger sharp repricing as traders update their forecasts based on live momentum. Media coverage, betting trends, and any last-minute roster updates can all contribute to price volatility leading up to and during the match.
