Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution criteria based on goals scored in the second half, including stoppage time, with the same fallback data sources and cancellation rule.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers (FIFA). Fallbacks: Flashscore, Sofascore, consensus of credible reporting.

Core resolution logic:

  • Japan wins if Japan scores more goals than Venezuela in the second half.
  • Venezuela wins if Venezuela scores more goals than Japan in the second half.
  • The market resolves to a draw if Japan and Venezuela score the same number of goals in the second half.
  • If the game is canceled, the market resolves to a draw.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the game is postponed, the market remains open until the game is completed.
  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (Draw where applicable).
Timing: Resolution will occur within 24 hours of the conclusion of the second half of the match, or as soon as official or fallback data becomes available. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms.
