This market tracks the winner of the second set in the professional tennis match between Jan-Lennard Struff and Sebastian Baez at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The set winner is determined by standard tennis scoring rules.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 2 of the Jan-Lennard Struff vs Sebastian Baez match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-time supply and demand. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because they aggregate dispersed information from many participants. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing the two can reveal arbitrage opportunities or validate your own assessment of the match outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the aggregate belief of all market participants about the probability of that outcome occurring. As new information surfaces—such as player form, court conditions, or match momentum—traders adjust their positions, moving the price up or down. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to real-world developments and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the second set of the Struff vs Baez match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. No partial or disputed results affect resolution; the market settles based on the definitive set winner as reported by the tournament or governing body. Traders should monitor the match schedule and any official updates to anticipate the resolution window.
Several factors could shift odds in this market before it resolves. Player injury or illness announcements, recent performance trends, and head-to-head history can all influence trader positioning. Court surface, weather conditions, and the outcome of the first set will likely trigger significant repricing, as they directly impact second-set dynamics. Betting syndicates or sharp money flowing into one side may also signal new information. Real-time match commentary and momentum swings during play create continuous opportunities for traders to adjust their positions based on evolving match conditions.
