This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Jan-Lennard Struff and Martin Landaluce at the 2026 ATP Mallorca tournament. One of the two players will win set 2, and the market resolves based on who prevails in that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders who profit from accurate forecasting. Traders on this market incorporate real-time match data, player form, and betting patterns to adjust prices continuously. This dynamic pricing can sometimes offer sharper odds than static sportsbook lines, though both reflect underlying probability estimates for the set outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief about the probability of that player winning Set 2, with contracts trading between 0 and 100 cents. As new information surfaces—such as player performance during Set 1 or injury updates—traders adjust their bids and asks, moving prices to equilibrate supply and demand. This transparent, peer-to-peer pricing ensures the market reflects current consensus.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, once the Struff vs Landaluce match is complete and the Set 2 winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the second set according to official match records. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell contracts as odds fluctuate. Resolution is automatic once the event result is confirmed, and all winning positions are settled accordingly.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before this market resolves. The outcome of Set 1 is a major catalyst—momentum and confidence often carry into subsequent sets. Player injuries, fatigue, or tactical adjustments announced during the match will trigger repricing. Court conditions, weather, and crowd dynamics can also influence performance expectations. Real-time match statistics, break-point conversions, and serve performance during the first set will all feed into trader sentiment. Any news about either player's form or recent results leading up to the match may also move prices before play begins.
