These markets track how decisively either team wins the first half of an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a specific point margin threshold, reflecting different levels of betting confidence in the outcome.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the first half of play in the James Madison vs San Diego State college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026. If San Diego State wins the first half by exceeding the specified point margin—ranging from 1.5 to 17.5 points—the corresponding 'San Diego State wins 1H by over X points' market resolves to Yes. Conversely, if James Madison wins the first half by exceeding the specified margin—ranging from 2.5 to 17.5 points—the corresponding 'James Madison wins 1H by over X points' market resolves to Yes. If neither team meets their respective threshold, all markets resolve to No. Should the game be postponed but commence within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain active and resolve based on the official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook lines, it may indicate differing expectations or information. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities of an outcome, and neither is guaranteed to be correct.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that spread occurring in the first half. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a real-time assessment of the game’s expected outcome, driven by the collective intelligence of the market participants.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official first-half spread is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the actual point difference between the James Madison Dukes and the San Diego State Aztecs at the end of the first half of the game. Any adjustments or official rulings made by the governing body of college football will be considered in determining the final result of this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the James Madison Dukes or the San Diego State Aztecs would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to impact the game’s style of play, could also affect the market. Finally, any late-breaking analysis from sports analysts or shifts in public perception regarding each team’s chances could contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
