This market tracks the exact final set score of the professional tennis match between Jakub Mensik and Grigor Dimitrov at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 on July 2. Possible outcomes include Mensik winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2, or Dimitrov winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2.
The market resolves to Yes for the specific set score outcome that occurs in the match. Possible resolutions include Jakub Mensik winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2, or Grigor Dimitrov winning 3-0, 3-1, or 3-2. If the match does not occur before it starts due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. This market may price certain exact scores differently than traditional sportsbooks, especially for less common outcomes. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd's consensus differs from professional oddsmakers, though both should be viewed as estimates rather than certainties.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book matching, where traders submit bids and asks for each possible exact score. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction at which buyers and sellers agreed. As new information surfaces or trader sentiment shifts, prices adjust in real time. Liquidity varies by outcome; more common scores typically trade with tighter spreads, while rare results may have wider gaps between buy and sell prices.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the Mensik vs Dimitrov match concludes and the final set score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the exact number of sets won by each player in the completed match. Resolution occurs after the result is verifiable from credible public sources covering professional tennis. Traders should monitor the official match schedule and any updates to ensure they understand the timing and format of this event.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before resolution. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and surface-specific performance data influence trader expectations. Court conditions, weather, and scheduling changes on match day can also impact odds. Player rankings, confidence levels revealed in media, and betting patterns from professional syndicates may signal where informed money is flowing. Close attention to pre-match commentary and warm-up results often precedes significant market moves.
