This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 match between Jacob Fearnley and Jaume Munar on July 2. The market resolves based on which player wins that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes if either Jacob Fearnley or Jaume Munar wins set 3 of their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real money at stake. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper pricing on niche outcomes like individual set winners, since specialized traders focus intensely on tennis. However, major sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news. Comparing both sources helps you identify value and understand where consensus lies.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective willingness of buyers and sellers to trade at that level, effectively encoding the market's implied probability for Fearnley or Munar to win Set 3. As new information emerges—such as player form, court conditions, or momentum shifts during the match—traders adjust their bids and offers, causing the price to move. This continuous price discovery process ensures the market stays responsive to new evidence.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the third set of the Fearnley vs Munar match concludes. The outcome is determined by verifying the official result against credible public sources, such as ATP tour records or major sports data providers. Once the set winner is confirmed, the market settles automatically, and traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout. Early resolution is possible if the match is abandoned or the set is not played, though such scenarios are rare in professional tennis.
Several factors can shift this market before resolution. Player injury or withdrawal news will trigger sharp repricing, as will unexpected performance in earlier sets or the first-set outcome. Court conditions, weather delays, and serve-and-volley momentum can all influence third-set dynamics. Real-time match commentary and live scoring updates often prompt traders to adjust positions as the match unfolds. Additionally, betting activity from sharp traders or sudden volume spikes may signal new information entering the market. Monitoring these signals helps you stay ahead of price movements.
