This market tracks the outcome of the first set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 match between Jacob Fearnley and Jaume Munar on July 2. The market resolves based on which player wins that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes if either Jacob Fearnley or Jaume Munar wins set 1 of their 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If the match is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are resolved to Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates the collective forecast of participants who profit only if their prediction proves correct, potentially offering a less biased view than bookmaker pricing, though both merit consideration when evaluating set-winner probabilities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability assigned by the last matched trade, and you can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes. Liquidity and spreads may vary depending on trading volume and participant interest in the Fearnley–Munar matchup.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the first set of the Fearnley vs Munar match concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which player wins the set according to official match records. No further action is required from traders; the platform will confirm the result and settle all positions automatically once the event is finalized.
Several factors may shift odds before this market closes. Recent form and head-to-head records between the players often influence trader positioning, as do court surface conditions and weather forecasts on match day. Injury reports or late withdrawals can trigger sharp repricing. Additionally, pre-match commentary from analysts and betting syndicates may prompt position adjustments. Live trading activity itself can create momentum, so watch for volume spikes that may signal informed traders entering or exiting positions.
