A player from Ivory Coast will score their nation's first goal during the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup, or the match will end without a goal scored by that team.
The market resolves Yes for whichever player scores the first legitimate goal credited to Ivory Coast during the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup. Own goals are excluded from consideration; if Ivory Coast's first goal is an own goal, resolution is based on the next goal scored by an Ivory Coast player that is not an own goal. Goals scored during regulation time, stoppage time, and extra time all count toward this market. Goals scored during penalty shootouts do not count. All players who do not score the first qualifying goal resolve to No, regardless of whether they participated in any match. If no Ivory Coast player scores a goal throughout the tournament, the No Goalscorer outcome resolves Yes.
Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect aggregated trader conviction about which Ivory Coast player scores first, often incorporating real-time team news, player form, and tactical adjustments. Analyst forecasts typically rely on historical scoring patterns, injury reports, and pre-match analysis. Markets may diverge from analyst consensus when new information emerges or when traders identify overlooked value. Comparing the two reveals whether the market is pricing in factors analysts have underweighted or overweighted.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, the Ivory Coast: First Goalscorer market is priced as binary contracts reflecting the probability each eligible player scores first. Prices range from 0 to 100 cents, where each cent represents 1 percent implied probability. Traders buy or sell contracts based on their conviction, with the market price settling at the outcome. Liquidity and volume determine how quickly prices adjust to new information about player availability, tactical formations, or match conditions.
Key catalysts include team lineup announcements, injury updates to star forwards, tactical formation changes, and opponent defensive adjustments. Pre-match press conferences often reveal starting XI composition and player fitness status. Weather conditions, pitch quality, and referee assignments can influence early-match play. Live match events—such as early chances, fouls, or momentum shifts—will drive price movement as traders reassess which players remain most likely to break the deadlock.
