Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For card-heavy markets like this one, sportsbooks may price in historical team discipline data more conservatively, whereas traders here respond dynamically to lineup news, referee assignments, and recent match patterns. Comparing both sources can reveal where consensus breaks down.
On Limitless, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set the odds by placing bids and offers on the outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the last executed trade and standing orders at the spread. As new information surfaces—team news, referee history, or injury updates—traders adjust their positions, moving the price in real time. Liquidity and order depth determine how quickly prices respond to fresh signals.
This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, once the Ivory Coast versus Norway match concludes and the final card count is verified. The outcome is determined by the total number of yellow and red cards issued to both teams combined during regular and extra time. This market settles YES if that total reaches 4 or more; otherwise it settles NO. Resolution is confirmed once the result is verifiable from credible public sources covering the match.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market before resolution. Confirmed team lineups and injury news—especially the availability of key players with disciplinary records—often trigger repricing. Referee assignment announcements matter significantly, since some officials issue cards at higher rates than others. Recent form data showing either team's yellow card accumulation trends, head-to-head history between these sides, and any pre-match controversy or tension can all influence trader positioning. Match conditions like weather or pitch quality may also affect playing style and card likelihood.
