Prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply a larger and more diverse pool of participants. If there is a significant difference between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook odds, it could indicate an opportunity for value betting, or that the market has information the sportsbook does not.
