Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders seeking to profit from accurate forecasts. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd on Polymarket disagrees with traditional oddsmakers, potentially signaling value or highlighting blind spots in either venue's pricing.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one player's victory, and the price of each share reflects the collective belief about that outcome's likelihood. As traders transact, the market continuously adjusts prices to balance supply and demand, ensuring that the sum of all outcome probabilities converges toward 100 percent and creating a dynamic, transparent price discovery mechanism.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
