Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they are set by traders rather than set odds. In this market, the probability reflects crowd wisdom and can react faster to new information, such as player injuries or weather updates. Sportsbook odds may include a house edge and broader market factors, while prediction markets offer a more direct expression of trader beliefs about the match.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the price through their bets, which determines the implied probability for each outcome. The current top chance reflects the most supported result among participants. Volume and recent trading patterns also shape the odds, allowing rapid adjustments as new data emerges about the players or conditions.
