On Polymarket, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. Prediction market odds can diverge from sportsbook odds because they incorporate real-time trader positioning and can shift more quickly with new information. While sportsbooks may set lines based on broader models and public betting patterns, this market's pricing is driven purely by the active trader base on Polymarket. This often results in tighter spreads and more volatile pricing, especially as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through a decentralized process where traders submit bids and asks that determine the current odds. The top outcome’s implied probability is displayed as a percentage, reflecting collective trader expectations. Volume and recent trading activity also influence price discovery, allowing rapid adjustments as new information emerges.
