Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the decentralized nature of trader-driven pricing. While sportsbooks may set their odds based on analytical models and historical data, prediction markets reflect real-time trader sentiment and can shift more dynamically. This can lead to unique opportunities where the perceived chances of each player diverge significantly from conventional betting markets.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set the odds through buying and selling shares, which determines the implied probability for each outcome. The current top outcome reflects the aggregate sentiment of participants, with the chance percentage showing what the market collectively believes is most likely.
