On Polymarket, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional sportsbook lines. Prediction market odds often diverge from sportsbook odds due to different participant dynamics and information availability. Traders on Polymarket may price in nuanced factors or real-time updates that sportsbooks either discount or assess differently. The resulting spread can therefore vary noticeably, especially as the match approaches. Monitoring both sides provides a fuller picture of market expectations versus conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set the odds through buying and selling shares, which determines the current implied probability for each outcome. The top outcome’s price reflects the collective assessment of all participants on that platform at any given moment, influenced by recent news, performance data, and shifting expectations surrounding the competitors.
