Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Savinykh vs Mikulskyte tennis match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders position themselves on the match outcome. You can monitor the current probability implied by the market, review historical price charts, and track 24-hour trading volume of $15,678. The interface lets you see how sentiment has shifted since the market opened, helping you gauge whether backing either player represents value relative to sportsbook or expert consensus.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs in real time. This market reflects the collective view of thousands of participants risking capital, which often surfaces information faster than traditional oddsmakers adjust. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where the two diverge—a useful signal for identifying potential mispricings.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), and traders profit by buying low and selling high or by correctly predicting the eventual settlement. The spread between bid and ask reflects current liquidity and uncertainty; tighter spreads indicate higher confidence or deeper order books, while wider spreads suggest less consensus or lower trading activity.

This market resolves around Jul 25, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result—either a win for Savinykh or a win for Mikulskyte. Traders who backed the correct player will receive their payout, while those on the losing side will forfeit their stake. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final point, pending confirmation from the tournament organizer.

Several factors may shift trader positioning before the match begins. Recent player form, head-to-head records, court surface conditions, and injury news can all trigger repricing. Pre-match commentary from analysts or betting syndicates may also influence the odds as new information surfaces. Closer to match time, weather updates, last-minute lineup changes, or unexpected player statements could prompt sharp traders to reposition. Volume typically spikes in the final hours before play, as late-arriving bettors and professionals finalize their positions.
