Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and risk models. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, depending on trader conviction and liquidity depth. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though prediction markets and sportsbooks serve different purposes in assessing event likelihood.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the cumulative bets placed on each outcome, with the probability of each result derived from the ratio of capital allocated to it. As traders buy or sell shares, the price adjusts automatically to balance supply and demand. This mechanism ensures continuous pricing without reliance on a traditional order book.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. Injury announcements or withdrawal news would significantly impact odds. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and tournament seeding details may also prompt repricing. As the match date approaches, increased media coverage and expert commentary often drive trading volume and price adjustments. Real-time match developments—if the event is streamed or reported live—could trigger sharp moves in the final moments before resolution.
