On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective assessment of that outcome's likelihood, with the total of all outcome prices always summing to one dollar. As more traders buy or sell shares, the price adjusts in real time, so you can enter or exit positions at any moment before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the tennis match concludes and the winner is verified against credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official match result—whichever player wins the contest will be the correct resolution. Until that point, traders can continue to adjust their positions as new information emerges.
Several factors could shift this market before the match takes place. Player injury announcements, recent performance updates, or changes in ranking and form could alter trader sentiment. Court surface conditions, weather forecasts, and head-to-head history may also influence positioning. News about either competitor's recent tournaments, fitness level, or mental readiness could trigger significant price swings as the community reassesses win probabilities.
