This market reflects what a distributed group of informed participants believes will happen, whereas traditional sportsbooks incorporate their own risk management and vigorish. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than sportsbook lines on major sporting events, though individual matches can show meaningful differences depending on liquidity and trader expertise in tennis.

On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Betting activity on external sportsbooks can sometimes signal shifting confidence. Any official announcements regarding player withdrawals or match postponements would trigger immediate repricing as traders reassess probabilities.
