Sportsbooks factor in margin and risk management, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized bets from many participants. Prediction markets tend to be more efficient at pricing upsets and player-specific factors, making them useful for identifying where consensus differs from professional oddsmakers.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As match details emerge—player form, injury reports, head-to-head records—the price adjusts to reflect new information.
