Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the aggregated beliefs of informed traders rather than set odds from a bookmaker. In this market, the probability implied by trader activity may appear higher or lower than sportsbook lines depending on recent performance, injuries, or other factors. Traders can react faster to new information, sometimes creating sharper or more volatile pricing. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value differently from institutional oddsmakers.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set prices through buying and selling shares of possible outcomes. The current top outcome’s chance reflects the most recent trading activity and available volume. As bets are placed, the price adjusts based on supply and demand, capturing the market’s collective assessment of likelihood. You can see the leading probability and how much volume has changed in the last 24 hours, offering insight into recent sentiment shifts among participants.
