Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to trader dynamics and the decentralized nature of Polymarket. While sportsbooks may set odds based on broader analytics and risk models, prediction markets let participants bet directly on outcomes, sometimes producing sharper or more volatile pricing. Traders watch for discrepancies that could signal value, especially as match-specific news — like player injuries or weather updates — impacts expectations.
