Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the trading dynamics and the specific participant base on Polymarket. While sportsbooks may set their odds based on broader analytics and public betting patterns, prediction markets let traders bet directly on their insights, which can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing depending on recent news, player form, or injury updates.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders collectively set the odds through their buying and selling activity. The current top outcome reflects the aggregate wisdom of participants, with the chance percentage indicating the implied probability as determined by market supply and demand. This continuous pricing model allows rapid adjustments based on new information or shifts in trader confidence.
