Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to community-driven pricing and the inclusion of novel bet types. While sportsbooks may offer fixed odds based on analytical models, prediction markets reflect real-time trader sentiment and can react more quickly to new information. This can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing, especially as the match date approaches.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set prices through buying and selling shares, which determines the market’s implied probability. The current top outcome’s chance reflects the collective assessment of participants, adjusted for liquidity and recent trading volume. As new data emerges — such as player form or weather updates — these prices can shift rapidly based on user activity.
