Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the decentralized nature of trading. While sportsbooks may set their lines based on broader analytics and risk management, prediction markets reflect the collective wisdom of active traders, which can lead to sharper or more volatile pricing depending on recent news, player form, or betting trends.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually place bets which directly sets the market price based on supply and demand dynamics. The current top outcome chance reflects the aggregated expectations of participants, adjusted in real time as new trades occur. This mechanism allows rapid shifts in pricing when significant events or announcements affect the contest.
