If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the International Tennis Federation (ITF). A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Resolution requires that a ball be played in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, all markets resolve to $0.50. If a player withdraws or forfeits after play has started, that player's market resolves to No. If the match is postponed or delayed, markets remain open and resolve after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. Each player's market resolves to Yes if that player wins the completed match.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform design, user demographics, and liquidity distribution create natural price divergence. Polymarket uses an automated market maker (AMM) model, which can produce different equilibrium prices than Kalshi's order-book mechanism. Kalshi's regulatory framework and user base may also weight certain information differently. Additionally, the two platforms attract traders with varying risk appetites and time horizons—some users may be more confident in Luescher's chances on one venue than the other. These differences typically narrow as arbitrageurs trade across both platforms, but temporary gaps persist, especially in lower-volume sports markets. Monitoring both venues helps you identify mispricings before consensus tightens.
