While sportsbooks may set their lines based on broader public betting trends and sharp money, prediction markets let traders react instantly to new information, potentially creating tighter or more volatile pricing.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders set the odds through their buy and sell orders, which determines the current implied probability for each outcome.
